There's a particular kind of pain that comes from being in a broken system when you are already broken. From lying in a hospital bed, vulnerable and afraid, and realizing that the people who were supposed to help you — weren't listening. That your body was being managed, but you were not being seen.
That was my experience. And when I walked out of that hospital, I carried the weight of it in ways I didn't yet have words for. As a clinician, I knew how to help others process pain. But this was different. Talk therapy alone couldn't reach it. The wound wasn't just in my mind — it lived in my nervous system, my breath, the way I flinched at unexpected sounds.
"Healing wasn't a conversation I needed to have. It was a wholeness I needed to rebuild — piece by piece, body and mind together."
So I went searching — not as a patient, but as a scientist. I immersed myself in the evidence: somatic therapies, nervous system regulation, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, ACT, IFS. And slowly, something shifted. Not because I talked my way out of what happened — but because I gave my whole self permission to heal.
That journey is why Soma + Psyche + Soul exists.
I built this for the everyday person who is quietly carrying something heavy and has been told — directly or indirectly — that they just need to think their way through it. For the person who has tried therapy and felt like something was still missing. For anyone who senses, deep down, that their pain is bigger than their thoughts about it.
Here, you won't find generic wellness advice or empty reassurance. You'll find real, science-backed tools — drawn from decades of research in psychology, neuroscience, and body-based therapy — taught in a way that is accessible, practical, and deeply human.

I. The Science of Emotional Regulation
Webinar & Wellness Coaching Session

If any of these things apply, let me help you learn the science and mechanisms of emotional regulation in a holistic space. You can use this education and these techniques to help you better understand AND control your emotional reactions
I will explain why and how you get deregulated, and then give you actual tools you can use to help pull you back into the present, and not allow past or future concerns dictate how you feel and react. You will leave understanding how your brain responds to these stressors and real tools to help you heal your brain and cope and process your experiences in real time.
Anyone is welcome, however I will be explaining these things through a Black cultural lens.
NOTE: This is not a replacement for therapy or recommended for those affected by intense trausma. It is science-based education and holistic techniques to heal your own bouts of anxiousness, fear, worry, anger, dicked, sappointment, frustration, and being overwhelmed.

II. Somatic Sessions
In groups of less than 25, we will meet at various parks and locations in the city to learn evidence-backed, science-based somatic techniques to heal or reset your emotions and emotional reactions to everyday stress, acute trauma, relationship problems, confidence concerns, worry, fear, anger, or whatever you are dealing with in the present that is tied to past or future overthinking and concern. All you will need is a yoga mat and water.

III. The Science of Emotional Healing or Reset
A Day of Evidence-Based Wellbeing
A 4.5 hour virtual workshop, where you will learn the science of emotional distress and emotional regulation, receive a tool kit of techniques to help you heal or reset, an understanding of how your emotions are connected to your physical body, and a opportunity to create a personal plan to help you heal and reset from a place of distress to a place of contentment. During this workshop, you will learn breathwork, body scanning, grounding techniques, and the art of meditation.

Several therapeutic tools will be taught to each client, based primarily on their presenting problem and their comfort level.

Breathwork : The use of breathing techniques to calm heart rate, reduce cortisol, and flood the body with oxygen which is a healing element

Body Scanning: Sensory progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) where the client tenses and relaxes muscle groups, paing close attention to how they feel both somatically and mentally

Grounding: The act of connecting to nature to absorb negative ions, which are healing to the body by reducing inflammation, promoting circulation, regulating blood pressure, pain reduction, and the production of white blood cells

Bilateral Stimulation: a technique that uses tapping to help integrate memories and reduce trauma responses

Frequency Meditation/Sound Therapy : the art of becoming aware and conscious of the various roots of the body and the use of frequencies that help heal stress and release traumas from those parts of the body, which calms the nervous system, reduces cortisol, increases serotonin, and helps the client become more aware of how his//her emotions show up in their body . Sound therapy is done without meditation.

Water Therapy: Using hot and cool water to help regulate the nervous system through calm (hot) and the promotion of clarity and reduction of pain/inflammation (cool)

Group Talk Sessions: All clients will be welcome to talk sessions to share their experiences, what they've learned, and create a community of supportive healing
Insurance is not accepted, as this is for non-medically necessary life experiences. All are welcome. Will be framed through a Black cultural experience.
